To the reader: This story contains fun times with all the details, salty language, bloodthirsty wolf shifters, and yes, a cliffhanger. If that isn’t your thing, this story probably won’t be either. But if all that sounds great, this swoonworthy romance is for you!

Cassie is this year’s sacrifice to the wolf pack that protects the town from danger. She is unsure how she really feels about being the sacrifice. All she can think about is how sexy the wolf shifters are and how she really wants to experience sexual arousal at their hands.

When she gets taken back to the pack’s home she believes that her destiny is to serve the many males within the pack. All that changes when Trevor flips the script and takes her for himself. The Alpha has uprooted tradition and thrown everything into chaos. Now Cassie has to figure out how she fits into everything.

J.K. Harper leaves you rolling over screaming with a massive cliffhanger at the end. But cannot keep consistency with Cassie’s thoughts that are supposed to build the arch within the story. I reread the same thoughts over and over with little forward momentum. It was an enjoyable story and leaves you wanting more but I don’t believe I will continue on with this series. The emotional roller coaster Cassie goes through doesn’t leave me wanting more, but finding myself more confused and irritated.

If I had to give this book a rating out of 5 stars it would be 3/5. I would suggest this to readers that want a quick read that has high emotions. But don’t see myself reading forward because it kind of fell flat for me.
