Q is for Queen's of Tarza

Hi everyone. Today is for letter “Q.” I thought I would do a breakdown of the Queens that have ruled so far in Tarza since the beginning of Tarzinëa. It’s really a short list since the kingdom was created only 500 years ago. Before that it was governed in sections by warlords and high nobleman that had enough men to fight to keep their land.

Q is for Queen's of Tarza

500 Years in the Making

Back History — 500 years ago land was divided up among men that thought themselves nobleman. They held the power to control armies, and some were labeled warlords depending on their location within the kingdom itself. It wasn’t until Rodrik took things into his own hands to create the kingdom that is now Tarza. He fought the warlords, nobleman and hatred between leaders to get them all to bow to one person. This way, the kingdom would be a united front and be able to fight off those that sought to hurt the people and steal from them. Rodrik fell in love with a woman from a foreign land that many didn’t like but followed non-the-less. They fell in love with her and she became one of the most powerful people in the world.

Queen Karigan - She started off as a teenage girl growing up on a farm learning to grow plants, herd cattle, and drive her older brother nuts. In the story “Bonds of Friendship,” you get to see how all that changes when she befriends Silvashi the silver dragon. He isn’t seen as the King of Dragons at this point in history. But after the Dragon Wars he takes the throne with Karigan as his rider slash Queen. This leads her to being Queen of Zorron the dragon kingdom. But when she marries Rodrik they unite all the kingdoms to become the Dragon Empire. Sadly, it doesn’t last very long because of a betrayal that occurs in “Bonds of Betrayal.” This leads to Queen Karigan’s death and the exile of all dragons and their riders. The empire falls into ruin, leaving behind a broken Rodrik and Karigan’s son, Christophé. But Tarza lives on with Rodrik’s help and things pass to his son and his wife that became his queen.

Queen Roseanne - She is a healer mage that grew up in the City of Mages. Her time was spent learning about herbs, magical remedies, and how to make potions. Rose had a great love for flowers and using them to help heal those she loved. Christophé spent most of his childhood in the City of Mages and befriended Roseanne. He had far more power than she did but he confided in her when he wouldn’t anyone else. They grew close over the years that later turned to love. He ended up making her his queen and everyone supported him because they didn’t believe a queen had to come from the high born class to make a difference. Plus, many thought it a good thing the queen was a healer. This would help protect the king from anyone that threatened him.

Queen Sarah - When Christophé stepped down from the throne he handed things over to his second olden child, Tyler. The only problem was finding a wife for him when he was so stubborn. Noble women didn’t interest him and he didn’t really want to marry. That all changed when he was walking down the street of the capital city and saw Sarah for the first time. She was the daughter of the local baker and he laid eyes on her, tripped and hit his head on a large boulder. When he woke up she was the first thing he saw and he knew she was the one. They were inseparable ever since until she died later on in their marriage, when the kids were teenagers and adults.

I hope you enjoyed this history lesson on the Queens of Tarza. Each has their own story I have planned for them. But overall you can check out adventures in my Tales of Ferrês series or my Tales of Tarza series that I am currently working on to enjoy these characters. Until Monday I hope you have a great Easter tomorrow.
