Marked for Rage — Book Review

Happy Monday everyone. Hard to believe another week has gone by already. I got another book review for you all to check out. This one is on "Marked for Rage." It was written by: Susan Hayes. This was an interesting SciFi Alien Romance and you can check out all my thoughts below. Happy reading.

─── ⋆⋅☆ ABOUT THE BOOK ☆⋅⋆ ──

Marked for Rage

An Alien Fated Mates Romance

Crashed and Claimed Book 1

by: Susan Hayes

Genre: SciFi Alien Romance

Marked for Rage by: Susan Hayes, Ebook Cover

It was supposed to be a delivery run… How did it turn into a prison break?

All Mercy had to do was deliver her cargo and go. Now she’s got a bunch of irate aliens on her tail and a hot-as-Helios escaped prisoner in her cargo bay who insists she is his. She’s too old for this crap, and she keeps telling herself she’s too old for him, too. But his arguments and his… assets are very convincing.

If they’re going to survive this intergalactic crisis, she’s going to need a plan… and her hot, horned, and handsome alien passenger is going to need some clothes.

**Buckle up. This sci-fi romance contains an alien with fur, fangs, horns, and a very possessive attitude when it comes to the woman he’s claimed for his own.

─── ⋆⋅☆ MY REVIEW ☆⋅⋆ ──

Rage is held as a captive, along with his brothers. They are being experimented on like animals and forced to the point of death. The only way Rage deals with the situation is by forcing boundaries and trying to escape repeatedly. Until finally, his captives decided he was a liability and planned to destroy him.

That is where Mercy comes into play. She carries cargo to the scientific base that Rage is held at. She does not know of the captives until he storms her ship and they get the hell out of dodge. When they encounter one another Mercy faces off with a strong alien dominant male that wants to claim her.

They face trial and errors throughout their time together. But I found Mercy gave in too easily for being a strong female lead. Think she would have held out some instead of giving into desire instantly. The overall story is short and to the point but found that it was lacking for my interest. It didn’t seem to carry depth between the characters. They are complete strangers with powerful personalities and they just poof together without a care in the world. Would rather have seen them work towards a relationship than have an instant one.

If I had to give this book a rating out of 5 stars it would be 3/5. Would recommend this to a reader that likes instant attraction without to much conflict between them. But I don’t see myself continuing on in this series.

Susan Hayes Author Pic

USA Today Bestselling author and writer of award-winning Sci-Fi and Paranormal Romance Susan Hayes lives out on the Canadian west coast surrounded by open water, dear family, and good friends. She’s jumped out of perfectly good airplanes on purpose and accidentally swum with sharks on the Great Barrier Reef.

If the world ends, she plans to survive as the spunky, comedic sidekick to the heroes of the new world, because she’s too damned short and out of shape to make it on her own for long.
