Other Series by Danielle Forrest
Hello, again! My name is Danielle Forrest, author of Matched to the Alien Workaholic, which is currently featured in the Beyond Starlight boxed set.
Anyway, today I thought I would talk a little bit about the rest of my writing. I have three other series, which I am currently working to make available on all major retailers: The Darkest Day Series, A Shift in Space Series, and Fated Mates of the Drakoan.
The Darkest Day Series
This was my first series, and as such, I was shyer than I was with my subsequent series when it comes to the romance. In fact, I was so shy about it, I didn’t even originally classify it as romance, even though the romantic relationship between Mila and Tristan is fairly central to the plot.
The series mostly features Mila, a shape-shifter in hiding who takes over her dead best friend’s identity and stumbles into a whole mess of intrigue that will have her (with the help of those she’s closest to) save the day, and eventually, the world.
A Shift in Space Series
This was the second series I wrote, and the first time I dipped my toe into the spicier end of the romantic pool. The series revolves around a group of friends (some of whom are neurodivergent or LGBTQIA+) who each find their HEA with an alien. Each of the main protagonists are shape-shifters, like in the previous series, but at this point in history, it isn’t something they have to hide.
They each have their own issues to overcome, encountering lots of action and danger along their paths to finding the love they really weren’t looking for.
Fated Mates of the Drakoan Series
This is a series that I write as a serial, and I am currently in the process of publishing season 1 in book format. I started writing it because I love me some dragon shifters (and knotting) as well as some good old fashioned fated mates.
Season 1 revolves around Davin, a commander of an alien fleet who is struggling with the powerful mating urges driving him nearly mad with need. Struggling between the needs of his body and the needs of the mission, he tries to have his cake and eat it to, even if it seems impossible to have both.
Right now, I’m working on Season 2, with the story moving on to Scottie and Van. It is an MM romance with a geeky human and a stoic alien that reminds him of his favorite Star Trek character, Spock. He’ll do practically anything to have his man. He just has to convince Van that he is his man.

I am a scientist, a dog parent, and part-time author of SciFi Romance. I love happy endings and using my biology degree in ways it was absolutely not intended. That means a lot of "interesting" alien biology as well as thoughtful world building.
But that's not the only reason to enjoy my writing. I also like writing diverse characters (LGBTQIA+, neurodivergent, and more) and (because I'm an author and what more can you expect from me?) throwing them into mortal peril every time it makes sense for the plot (which is sadly nowhere NEAR as often as I would like).
