Inspiration Behind the SwordMaster Brothers

Two years ago I signed up for a young adult epic fantasy anthology. The story had to be around an epic quest or battle that occurs. At the time I was focusing a lot of my writing around my Tarzinëa world. This world has been in the making for years now and probably more years to come.

I started off with releasing the Tales of Ferrês short story series. This was a kingdom within the world of Tarzinëa. Then I started on my Tales of Tarza novella series. Yeah, you guessed right this was centered on another kingdom in the world of Tarzinëa.

But when I was writing the SwordMaster Brothers, it was a standalone adventure that I wanted to wrap around two key characters in novels I have planned in the future. This story is about how they became SwordMasters and shows the journey one has to take to become one of the few SwordMasters in the world. I do plan to write more standalone tales featuring characters throughout the different time points in this world. But this was by far one of most favorite ones to write so far.

The story is around two bothers that faced advisory in life and now face the ultimate test that can help them find their true destiny. But each has to face it alone and deal with the fear deep within their own hearts to pass. It’s hard to say what will happen in the end because I can’t give it away. But a significant loss will push one to see that they have hidden the truth of the past from themselves for years.
